Before we look ahead, let's highlight a few stories from 2025 that we're most proud of:

• Data centers have received a lot of ink; we feel our WV-focused piece best exposes the rot.

• The perils of relying on wastewater-based epidemiology are no longer a mystery to layfolk.

• Speaking of science (political), our Iowa Caucus post-mortem is as evergreen as it gets.

If we can match that level of excellence when reporting on the following topics, we'll be ecstatic:

• Making the case against issues advocated for by groups as small as one person.

• Resetting the narrative surrounding a medical disease that affects 500K Americans.

• Foraying into the domain of shadowy NGOs (again), complete with damning receipts.

Our editors have a few more ideas up their sleeves, including some linked concepts that might end up being merged into a single column. All in all, we're excited to get cracking...
